PM Modi arrived in Tokyo early on Monday to attend the second in-person Quad leaders’ summit. The prime minister has a packed itinerary for the next two days as he meets Joe Biden, newly elected Australian PM Anthony Albanese and host Japan’s Fumio Kishida. The Quad summit is said to be one of the region’s most important foreign policy summits of the year. China criticised the Quad as it sees it as a mechanism to contain its global rise. The country has accused the group of being dedicated to undermining its interests.
